A comprehensive introduction to cruising, this course is ideal for inexperienced skippers that require the knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. The course will also cover a basic introduction to night cruising and safety and seamanship, so that you will have a good understanding of the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea.
Also included in the course price you will receive an RYA course pack, including; charts, an exercise book and the course notes.

An advanced navigation course, it’s aimed at those who have already successfully completed the Day Skipper course or are of equivalent standard. The course will give students the skills required to successfully navigate a vessel on coastal or offshore passages by day and night.
The syllabus is designed to take your theory knowledge to the standard required for sitting the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology skills. Included in the course fee is your RYA course pack, including; charts, an exercise book and the course notes.
This course is ideal for those already holding a Yachtmaster Offshore certificate and are preparing for their first ocean passage! The syllabus is designed to unravel the mysteries of astro navigation, using a sextant, ocean passage making, worldwide meteorology and electronic navigation aids.
Included in the course fee is a course pack which includes exercises and practice navigation tables.
